Addressing Sustainability and Socio- Economic Responsibilities
As a part of integrating sustainability and socio-economic responsibilities in our business, we have collaborated in numerous international projects, namely in a project funded by the Australian Government where we have held workshop with jute crop growers to encourage eco-friendly methods of cultivating jute and direct selling of the jute fiber to jute mills to maximize the profit for the jute farmers. At the same time, we approached jute mills to safeguard jute mill workers compensations and facilities such as better wages, better working conditions and other facilities such as free transportation, equal opportunities for female workers in terms of wages, vacated positions etc. addressing key UN Sustainable Development Goals.
